Community Links
Horley Infant School has developed excellent links with the local community, businesses and the wider world, for the benefit of the school and the children themselves.

School Visits
Our children have enjoyed visits from the Police, Fire Services and local Theatre groups; have been invited to local Care Homes to sing to the residents; have delivered Harvest parcels to local residents and The Horley Foodbank; have joined forces with The Round Table and entered a float in the annual Horley Carnival; and enjoy our annual Sports Day down at The Horley Cricket Club.

Food Bank
We have a Food Bank in Horley that we can refer parents to. The Food Bank started in february 2015 in response to a need in the local community. It is staffed by volunteers from the local churches and provides food and toiletries to those suffering a short-term crisis. Horley Food Bank offers support to anyone in need regardless of background including age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, disability, people of all faiths and none. They offer free emergency food and basic toiletries to those in crisis and will help them as part of a package of support being offered by local agencies such as CAB, probation services, children’s centres, health visitors, doctors’ surgeries, social services, housing trusts, the police and local schools. Whatever your situation, they offer a warm welcome, sign posting and a listening ear.
If you would like to be referred to the Food Bank, please complete the online form below.

International Links

Horley Infant School has always recognised the significance that the International Dimension has on our pupils.
It has gradually evolved to become a fundamental and integral part of our school ethos which enhances pupil understanding and empathy for other cultures and traditions.
Bringing the world into our classrooms has created a new and exciting perspective to our children. Our links with other countries; Spain, Germany and especially a school in Lesotho have added a different dimension to our children’s learning and awareness of our world.
We feel fortunate to have found such a rich and varied knowledge that can enrich our pupils to become worthwhile citizens of the future.
We were recognised through the British Council and were awarded the International School Award.
